Education for sustainable development as a concept for science centres and museums

Currently, the world is experiencing multiple crises. Every day we hear news about financial instability, peak oil, effects of climate change and  biodiversity loss. In addition, more than 2.6 billion people live in abject poverty, and the gap between rich and poor continues to increase. The concept of sustainable development offers viable approaches to tackle these global challenges.
